Legal Assistant 
(Contract Position for Maternity Leave Coverage)

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting lawyer with varied practice which includes wills and estates, real estate, corporate and family law

  • Being a first point of contact for client calls

  • Scheduling client meetings

  • Assisting in preparation of wills, and various corporate and family law documentation

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent problem solver

  • Welcoming and courteous demeanor, with a focus on customer service

  • Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to learn new technology quickly

  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality

  • Knowledge of GhostPractice, Divorcemate and FastCompany an asset

  • Must have relevant experience working in a law firm

  • Must be an independent worker, resourceful, reliable, professional, a multi-tasker, and a team player

  • Thorough, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
