James was born and raised in Listowel, Ontario. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in 2015 before moving back to Ontario and settling in Stratford.
In 2019, James received his J.D. from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario. He worked as a law student and completed his articles of clerkship at Monteith Ritsma Phillips before being called to the bar in 2020. James is building a broad practice which includes real estate law, corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, and civil litigation.
James enjoys spending his free time with friends and family at the cottage, playing hockey and soccer, fishing, and exploring Stratford with his partner, Janelle, and their dog, Red.
